I recently purchased my GX470 last month and so far have not had any of the problems that people have discussed on this board.
I do have 2 questions that i'm hoping can be answered here.
My "wise old dad" told me not to go above 50 mph in a brand new car until you hit 1,000 miles. What is the general consensus on this? He claims it breaks in the engine!!! what do you think? i didn't see anything in the owner's manual, did you?

my second question is what is KDSS??? and how do I know if i need it?

I would appreciate all your help. Have a great day!

THANKS!

The manual talks about break-in. In general during the first 500 miles or so, no fast starts or to the floor acceleration. Don't drive for prolonged periods at the same speed. The Lexus website talks about KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) as well as on this board. KDSS gives the truck much better handling but you can't have the factory towing option.
