A friend of mine had a 5 series B&W and he was able to hook up his Ipod through the auxillary's on the back of the stereo - straghtforward RCA inputs like your home stereo. I have 2006 GX470 with the Levison stereo system and before I go taking apart my dash - does anyone know if this stereo has Aux inputs that you can patch into?
If there is not any, I have seen an online alternative to hook the Ipod up, but it is over $200US and it is an inline adapter that provides an output to the Ipod - not really worth it but does anyone have other suggestions outside of the cheapy FM transmitter alternative?

Thanks - I saw this already but this $250 US so it works out to over $300 Cdn by the time it gets to my door. For this money, I would rather put it toward a new radio for $500 to $600 which would have the IPOD input.

Using that product though will keep the stock look of the vehicle and I believe (dont quote me on this) that you may be even be capable of controlling song selections with the steering wheel controls.

Yes you will be able to control all functions thru the steering wheel and if you have Navigation the song titles will show up on the Nav screen
