I have a new 2008 GX470. The only light that comes on as the "daytime running light" is the turn signal indicator. Under daytime running lights, the manual says that the "headlights turn on automatically (at a reduced intensity) whenever the engine is started and the parking brake is released." Should the amber turn signal light be glowing continuously (without the headlights on at all) as the daytime running lights? I don't live near a dealer to check another 08 GX, so if someone could verify this for me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I believe the manual is referring to the amber turn signals. As far as I know, the DRLs for the GX has always been the amber turn signals and since they only made minor cosmetic changes in the 08 GX, your GX should have the amber turn signals as your DRLs. Check it out in the garage or driveway. wink.gif Welcome and congrats on the GX! cheers.gif

The turn signal is the DRL and the headlights turns on automatically when its dark outside. When the headlight is on the DRL is off.
