Put the Car in Park. Pull up the parking brake. It will work then.

Only if you have the ML option.

thanks for the reply guys. I was really looking for ways to play video in the Navi screen without the rear entertainment option. I want to be able to feed video signal from some other player. Does anyone know if the vehicle is pre-wired for rear entertainment, if so, any wiring info?

Just put the DVD disc in your ML player and I believe there is a lockpick unit that will bypass the motion lock out and let you play video while you are in motion. Not that I am recommanding you do that
