Yes any Lexus key will fit BUT you can't buy these keys from any local locksmith in town. You also need the dealer to program it for the immobilizer. wink.gif

If you buy the key from sewell or on E-bay, most of the time, they come with programming instructions for the immobilizer and the door locks, but you will have to find a locksmith that can cut that key.

are the programming instructions something u do yourself and does the key from ebay still have the remote on it for the doors
The G Man
I have never done it, but from what I have read on this forum is that the key from e-bay comes in blank with the remote buttons for the doors. You have to cut it yourself. The programming instruction will program the immobilizer and the door buttons. From what I understand, you can do it yourself. It is a series of putting the old key in and push some buttons and inserting the new key.

Sorry I cant be more helpful, good luck.

I think Sewell (lexus-parts.com) can send you keys already cut from the VIN...

I bought a new key from Ebay for my lexus and paid $45 to get it cut by a locksmith and another $45 to get it programmed....I didn't bother trying to program it myself....it was just easier, but it took him all of 5 min to program it sad.gif

next time I will program it myself and not be lazy smile.gif

So go to ebay and buy a NEW Key and transponder for about $60 and pay another $45 to get it cut and program it yourself smile.gif
