I am reading comments on the dreaded clunk, what is the factory saying about this problem, it is obviously real, have they stated a position regarding this problem?

There is one TSB out already by Lexus and it fixes the problem some of the time. Most later 05 and the 06 already has this TSB install.

I picked up my '06 GX yesterday. The car is perfect. I did notice a "clunk" which was more like a downshift upon coming to a complete stop. It didn't seem as major as what some people on this BB have described. Based on some of the postings, I expected it to be far, far worse. My wife noticed it too, but if this is as bad as it gets, Lexus can count us as happy customers.
