I would like to add 12v plug to the cargo area. I find myself needing to run wires to the plug up front. The regular plug is ok, but I would use the 12v more. Just wanted to see if anyone has added a 12v plug? Can I tap into the power going to the current plug? How easy is it to remove the side panel on the passager side of the cargo area? Any help would be great.

Radio Shack on other electronics chains offers an inverter, so that you plug your standard 110 outlet and it converts over to the 12V lighter end...

I have tried that, but the set up does not work. I asked the guys at Radio Shack and they said you can not convert 12 to 110 back to 12. I pulled off the rear panel last weekend and could not find any 12v source to tap into. It looks like I will have to run a source from the fuse box.

I would prefer not to have another devise I need to carry. I want a nice clean look by adding a plug. Plus the guys at Radio Shack said it would not work. I just need a good 12v source to tap into, or directions on the best way to run power from the fuse box and hide all the wires.

PS. Radio Shack guys are wrong, I'm using their product to power my 12 voit orbital buffer 8", and 12volt lamp...
