Hello all,
I just got my Vaistech AIC-100I in and I'm ready to install it in my 2005 GX with Nav. The unit is plug-n-play. So all I need to know is, has anyone pulled the radio out of the dash? Is it difficult? I was also wondering if I need to pull the whole command center out or are the plugs I need behind the lower deck radio that has the cassette player in it? From what I can see it looks like I need to remove the trim bezel on the sides of the shifter first. Anyway, if anyone has taken the dash apart or has any info on how to remove the radio and /or the command center your help is much appriciated. Or maybe I should take it to a professional. Thats what Vaistech told me. (No way) I told him....Theres nothing but chop shops with a 17 year old's working there in my area. Unless I try the dealer or tweeter maybe. I installed mine for XM already. It is plug and play. Look here. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...?threadid=87880

Be very careful removing the wood trim next to the radio. You will likely break some clips.
